Citrix Remote Work Video Series
Flexibility Equals Preparedness
As the demand for remote work surged, Citrix needed a clear, compelling way to show how their tools empower secure, flexible work—from anywhere. Our mission? Bring that story to life through a series of short, sharp, and engaging videos that would resonate with both IT professionals and business decision-makers in small to mid-sized companies.
Design That Feels Human
To connect emotionally with viewers and make technical concepts more approachable, we leaned into a visual style that felt:
• More human than robotic
• More hand-drawn than high-tech
• Featuring simple, line-based illustrations over bold flat colors
Content Collaboration (ShareFile)
This one’s for the scattered teams—Maggie at home, Lana in the office, Michael… somewhere mysterious. We visualized the madness of email chains and thumb drives, then showed how Citrix Content Collaboration makes file sharing seamless and secure—even from outer space (where Michael might be).
Managed Desktops
Meet Lukas, a new developer onboarding from a beach in Hawaii. (Yes, really.) We zoomed out—literally—to show the distance, then zoomed in on how Managed Desktops made it a breeze. No shipping laptops. No IT headaches. Just log in and go.
Workspace with Analytics
We introduced Brad: serial laptop loser, accidental phishing clicker, and almost payroll-leaker. But thanks to Citrix Analytics, his blunders didn’t become disasters. Built-in machine learning flagged the risks before they became problems. Even when Brad spilled coffee on his keyboard, his data stayed safe.
Workspace Essentials – Single Sign On (SSO)
Password mayhem—Emma using “password123,” Clare hiding hers in a file called “NOT MY PASSWORDS,” and Barry adding endless exclamation points. The solution? Citrix Workspace Essentials with Single Sign On and two-factor authentication. The tone was light, the pain point was real, and we wrapped with a triumphant “rock on” from the IT hero.
Extended Vision
Reimagining how Citrix's animation style could evolve into an ongoing campaign across OOH and social channels, extending the narrative beyond the original video series.
Continuing Visual Strategy
The campaign's single-line illustrations on flat color create a New Yorker-style aesthetic that differentiates through empathy. This hand-drawn approach makes complex IT issues relatable and shareable, focusing on emotional pain points rather than technical features alone.
OOH Execution
High-impact placements (billboards, airports, transit) feature single cartoons with memorable taglines, transforming commutes into conversation starters.
Social Media Execution
Episodic content on LinkedIn and Twitter features recurring character archetypes (Emma, Barry, Michael, Brad, Lukas), making security, access, and IT management approachable through humor. This creates evergreen, digestible content reinforcing our core message: flexibility equals preparedness.
